Then in the afternoon, we had a chance to speak to Jo as she presented a special assembly.
We had a chance to speak to her and ask her questions. She told us how she began her swimming career and what inspired her. She swam in her first Olympic Games in Athens aged just 17. She has since broken a world record, become Britain’s most successful female swimmer and represented her country at 3 Olympic Games.
If she hadn't taken up swimming Joanne says she would have liked to be a teacher. Her advice would be to “enjoy the little things in life, for one day you will look back and realise they were the big things”.
We also got the chance to see and speak to Dominick Cunningham and he showed us some cool gymnastic moves like the back flip and walking on his hands. It was really cool!
